Clinical study -1

Methodology

Over a 6 week period, 30 subjects applied 25% Urea cream to the right Heel, and 10% Urea cream to the left Heel twice daily. Hydration levels determined by measuring skin’s electrical resistance.

Results

A greater level of skin hydration was achieved following the continual application of the 25% urea cream (Flex Heel Balm) when compared to the continual application of 10% urea cream.

Note: This study was conducted on patients attending the Diabetes Centre and Department of Podiatry, Southern General Hospital Glasgow, Scotland.

Clinical study -2

Methodology

In a controlled 14 day trial, 27 subjects suffering from dry, cracked feet used Flexitol Heel Balm product twice daily.

Results

Flexitol Heel Balm showed significant increase in the mean moisturisation value when compared time 0 and time 14.

Clinical study -3

Methodology

Six subjects suffering from dry, cracked heels used Flexitol Heel Balm twice a day. Moisture measurements were taken and the subjects were also photographed on Day 0, 1, 3, 7 and 14.

Results

There was a reduction in overall dryness and an increase in moisturization at each time point. Results after 1 day indicate that there is a significant change in the appearance of the skin. The skin appears moisturized and the dry and scaly condition has improved. The moisture measurements taken also clearly indicated an increase in hydration after one day.
